Community Collection Events

Montanans have recycled nearly 1.5M pounds of scrap electronics since the first event was held in Bozeman in 2004. Now the Energy and Pollution Prevention Bureau of DEQ is able to help communities by funding education and outreach activities concerning events. And the Solid Waste Program licenses all events for FREE.

 E-rase your E-waste

Sidney, Montana created the E-rase Your E-waste Campaign, and generously make all their templates and graphics available for use by other communities.  These graphics and templates have been used in over 7 states, and Montana's DEQ quickly adopted these campaign materials to launch community electronic recycling events in 2006.
